After updating to WordPress version 5.8 you may have noticed that the WordPress widgets dashboard looks completely different and is now using the Gutenberg blocks instead of the “widgets” as we knew them years.
While some people like these changes, many don’t and for good reason. The old Widgets dashboard was much slimmer, easier to use and significantly faster. Everything just seems more complex now. Luckily in Total we’ve added the ability to revert back to the old system right in the Theme Panel.
Note: If you aren’t using the Total theme or prefer using the official method for disabling Gutenberg widgets you can use the Classic Widgets plugin.
