WordPress by default includes a menu widget which you can use to display any menu in a widgetized area. In the Total theme we’ve also included 2 other widget menus for styling purposes. Below you can find examples of each widget style:
Navigation Menu (formerly known as “Custom Menu):
This is the default WordPress menu and in the Total theme it displays with the design below and it has an accordion functionality for dropdowns:
Total Modern Sidebar Menu:
This widget displays a menu very similar to the Custom Menu but it doesn’t have any extra javascript for subitems to keep things slim and it also has a more modern look with icons.
Total Simple Menu:
This menu widget doesn’t have any styling and it’s provided if you want to style the menu yourself via a child theme. Having a plain style by default makes it much easier to customize the look to your needs.
