Homepage Setup

The homepage for Chic is easy to setup since the theme uses your most recent blog posts by default., or you can use our built-in categories page template.

Default Homepage

Chic will automatically display your latests posts as well as a featured posts slider. You don’t have to do anything, since WordPress automatically uses your latest posts for the front page.


Homepage Categories

Chic also includes a Homepage Categories template that you can use instead. To use this option, create a new page and under Page Attributes select the Category Homepage template and then save your page.


Next, navigate to Settings > Reading and set the page you just created as your static front page. Easy!


You can rearrange the categories displayed on your homepage that’s using the Homepage Categories template by going to Appearance > Customize > General Theme Settings > Homepage Categories.


From here you can enable the “View All” button for each category, choose how many posts you want to display per category, choose the number of columns you want (default is 2) and enable/disable the categories you want to display.
